Become a director  

We're always looking for qualified individuals to fill future vacancies on our board of directors. As a director of Rockglen-Killdeer Credit Union, you would be part of a dynamic team responsible for shaping the organization’s strategic direction and ensuring appropriate processes and controls are in place to manage and monitor applicable risks.

You would protect and uphold the credit union’s values, exercising judgment with honesty and integrity. You must be a minimum age of 18 and be a RKCU member for a minimum of one year.

Key attributes include the ability to work as a group, having business experience and/or two to five years of board experience. The board also recognizes the benefits of having a diverse composition. To that end, the board has determined that its ideal composition includes a mix of genders, geographic locations (rural or town) and different employment backgrounds, and has set targets for each of these elements.

What you need to know?

• The board of directors consists of 7 director positions.
• All positions are typically a 3 year term, to a maximum of 9 years.
• Training is provided throughout your 3 year term
• Remuneration is provided for your learning and board/committee time
• Typically there are 11 board meetings a year; committee meetings vary
• A minimum of 75% attendance for board meetings is required
